Hey there!

My name is Heather Poffenberger and I'm a freelance photographer, videographer, and prop stylist. I'm a total nerd for a good story in all it's many forms—I relish finding that delicious angle, that spark, to translate into my work, creating images that entice and tickle and bring joy. 

I'm a big fan of living your life fully and with passion, but it took me a long time to know exactly what that meant when it came to putting food on the table. In 2019, I decided to attend Seattle Central Creative Academy to pursue visual media, and that's when I knew I had found the right fit. In the immediate aftermath of COVID, I landed in Champaign-Urbana, IL, where I used my newfound skills to freelance for local mom-and-pops in town. Now I've transplanted to Austin, my hopefully forever home, to grow my dream career.

Some facts for kicks: I live with my beloved cat, Darla, in Hyde Park, where I obsess over interior design, devour pop culture and Takis with gusto, take dance classes, and explore Austin and all its joys. My favorite accomplishment was hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail and my favorite fact for Two Truths and a Lie was that I once lived in a house with a bear.
